James Webb Telescope: NASA's telescope revealed the secrets of space in a month, the world was surprised to see these 4 pictures
James Webb Space Telescope: The James Webb Space Telescope of the American space agency NASA has been fully functional for the past few months. During this, the pictures he has sent from the very depth of space, have never been seen by humans before. Astronomers are very happy with this telescope in just one month. Sometimes this telescope is also called the successor of the Hubble telescope, which earlier used to send pictures of space to Earth. The James Webb Telescope was launched on December 25, 2021, after two decades of hard work. The cost of building it was $10 billion. Today it is in space 1.6 million kilometers away from Earth.
The first batch of photographs taken from James Webb were released in the month of July. He took pictures of the depths of space for the first time. With the help of this telescope, pictures of those galaxies were also revealed, which were missing in the dark. NASA chief Bill Nelson said on July 11 that you can guess what is seen in this picture by the fact that you have a grain of sand in one hand. Many of the lights in the picture are 13 billion years old, and many are within a billion of the time of the Big Bang.
The most distant galaxy seen by the telescope
NASA says James Webb aims to see distant galaxy. The Webb telescope has the ability to see farther than any other telescope. Astronomers have detected the farthest galaxy ever from its pictures. In a study published in July, researchers discovered a galaxy named GLASS-z13, which is 13.5 billion years old and formed only 300 years after the Big Bang.
Telescope sees collision of two galaxies
The Cartwheel Galaxy was discovered by the James Webb Space Telescope in early August. This is the best information I have found so far. This galaxy is located at a distance of 500 million light years from our Earth. It was formed from the collision of the smaller and larger spiral Gaecksky. When these galaxies collided with each other instead of spirals, they turned into ring galaxies. Whenever galaxies collide with each other, their shape changes. Then later these spiral galaxies cease to exist. This Cartwheel Galaxy looks exactly like a wheel of a horse cart. It has a color wheel around it and a bright ring in the middle. However, due to the collision, both got away from each other. Due to these features, scientists have called Cartwheel Galaxy as Ring Galaxy.
The James Webb Telescope also observed the Solar System
Apart from the depths of space, the James Webb Space Telescope has also seen our solar system. In the month of July, NASA shared a picture of Jupiter. Important information related to Jupiter came to the fore from this picture. The telescope took pictures of this gaseous planet and its moons Europa, Thebe and Metis. Apart from this, the telescope also saw the rings of the planet Jupiter. Scientists believe that beneath the icy surface of Europa, there is an ocean of salt water, in which alien life can also be found.
